Q How much weight will I lose at FitStart?

A. This is entirely up to you and how much effort you put in whilst you are with us. By guiding you through six or seven hours of exercise each day and by feeding you highly nutritious, but calorie limited, meals we will effectively be putting you into a calorie defecit each day. This means that you will be burning ALL of the calories we feed you each day AS WELL as the many more calories you have stored in your body as fat. You cannot fail to lose a substantial amount of weight whilst you are with us if you really work at the exercise programme as hard as you can. On this programme you could lose as little at five pounds but as much as twenty pounds in just one week - safely and naturally.

Q. Which celebrities have attended FitStart?
A. Unfortunately, due to our strict privacy policy, we are not at liberty to confirm the identities of any of our clients.

Q. How is FitStart different from a boot camp?
A. At FitStart we don’t believe that losing weight needs to be done with ex Army officers shouting at you and with you having to sleep in a dormitory! You will work hard during the day but can look forward to the luxury of your own luxurious private room and a soak in your luxury bathroom at the end of the day.

More importantly, we understand that losing weight at a boot camp is one thing but keeping it off after you leave is the real challenge.

That’s why the FitStart residential week is just the beginning of a three month programme. Our highly personal programme ensures you lose a great deal of weight in one week but we then design a three month programme individually tailored to suit your own lifestyle for the next three months to make sure you reach your ideal weight within that time. We put all the details of your personal programme into FitWare - our own proprietary fitness software - making it easy for you to track your progress in the comfort of your own home.

Q. What is Nicki Waterman’s involvement in FitStart?
A. Nicki was an integral part of putting FitStart together. She was very excited about the prospect and she has personally designed the entire exercise regime and helped us source all of the exercise equipment. She stays very close to FitStart and is confident that a week at FitStart following her exercise programme will provide you with the kick start you need to help you reach your idea weight within three months.

Q. How hard will the exercises be?
A. Our exercise programme has been expertly designed to suit anybody of any fitness level. We will not put you in competition with anybody else on the course. This is about you challenging yourself. Each exercise will contain an easier option and a harder option to suit any fitness levels so you can come to FitStart whatever the amount of exercise you are used to.
Q. I have an injury so am not sure whether or not I could complete the entire exercise programme, what should I do?
A. Before you book, call us on 0800 622 6212 and we can discuss what part of the programme you will be able to achieve and what parts you won’t. If you prefer your doctor or physiotherapist to call us we will be happy to discuss the programme in detail before you commit yourself

Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A. Once you submit your booking we will send you a full pack of information about FitStart and this will include a full list of the clothing and other accessories you will need to bring.

Q. Will I feel hungry?
A. No. Our nutritionist has worked very closely with Nicki Waterman to ensure that you will receive the precise amount of calories according to the exercises you are doing so you will not feel hungry and you will have enough energy to complete each day’s exercise programme.

Q. Will I need to participate in every activity?
A. Of course you don’t have to participate in every activity but we would encourage you to do as much as you can. At the end of the day you have paid to attend FitStart to lose weight and we have designed a programme which will enable you to do just that. The fewer activities you attend then the less progress you will make – but it’s your choice of course!

Q. I would like to pay for a shared room but I don’t have anybody to bring with me, what are my choices?
A. Don’t worry. If you choose to pay for a shared room we will match you with another suitable client who also wants to share a room.

Q I haven't done any form of exercise for a long time, is FitStart right for me?

A Yes. It doesn't matter what your current level of fitness is. Our exercise programme is dsigned to be carried out by anybody at any level of fitness. You will not be competing against anybody else during the retreat - just yourself. We do not put you in competition with anybody. FitStart works because we assess your level of fitness when you arrive and we guide you personally through each day.

Q Is it safe to lose so much weight in one week?

A Yes. The first week of your programme at FitStart is held in the controlled environment of our home in Somerset. Our professional fitness instructors and nutritonists have designed a safe and natural way for you to lose a substantial amount of weight in one week. Losing weight rapidly can be achieved as long as it is done in a natural way through burning more calories than you take in. Our nutritionist ensures that your body has everything it needs to get through the exercise programme. You are not put into starvation mode but you are focring the body to burn the calories it has stored in your body fat.
